july - softball and dragons - essential oils to the rescue

I can't believe that July is almost over! We have spent the last few months deep in softball season. High school softball was a whirlwind - it started before the frost cleared and went non-stop until the end of school. Then the travel teams go big, with out of town tournaments each weekend, championships and the culmination of the season at Nationals! So much fun, but all consuming and completely exhausting. The girls had a wonderful spring and summer and are looking forward to a few quiet weeks before tryouts for the fall teams. Honestly, I barely knew what to do with myself today on my first day off!

I finally had a few minutes to myself to think about what to post on phoodmoose.

My summer has been an oily one - even with all the softball, or maybe because of it. I wrote about using YLEOs in April and then in June, I signed up as a member with Young Living Essential Oils and am so happy. I've used their oils for a few years, but it just seemed that the time was right to dive in to sharing it as a business. Young Living is a company that I can be proud of. Their products are completely guaranteed from "Seed to Seal" to be of the highest quality. phoodmoose was started as a way to share "healthy, tasty, and real" items with you, and Young Living Essential Oils fit that framework perfectly.

With two athletes and a sporty husband, the oils have been useful for the whole family. I have been mixing up different blends to help the kids with their aches and pains from playing ball, the summer colds that we are bound to pick up, and the hormonal issues that seem to plague estrogen heavy homes :-)

I will continue to share my favorites, but first I'd like to tell you about how the girls have enjoyed Dragon Time. It is a Young Living blend of clary sage, fennel, lavender, marjoram, yarrow and jasmine, that we use the week before "that time of the month." It has helped the girls (and me) better manage emotions and keep things calm. There is an essential oil blend, a massage oil and bath and shower gel. I realize that these particular oils are currently out of stock, but I recommend putting them on your wish list. Let me know if you are interested in purchasing and I'll let you know when they are available again.

Take a look at all the amazing products that Young Living has to offer. I hope that you are as inspired as I am. I'm happy to discuss making a purchase or signing up yourself as a member (my member number is 3928974). The purchase of the Premium Starter Kit includes 11 oils and a heap of supplies to get you started on your way using, loving and sharing essential oils. Even if you never want to do this as a business, I highly recommend the oils for your home use. They (and you) are amazing!
